White All-Stitch Zig Zag
Serial number: 632391,
circa mid-1950s.
This is an extremely
heavy-duty machine built in Germany. The feet have a "G-K" marking, so it is
believed that this was built by Gritzner-Kayser for White. This wonderful
sewing machine has built-in zigzag functions as well as an adjustable needle
position. Very unique to this machine is the double upper tension controls
which allow two different upper threads to be used with tensions set
individually.
Cosmetically this sewing
machine is in near perfect condition. There are some minor markings on the
chromed pieces and a few minor chips/scratches, but this sewing machine is
in far better condition than most of this age.
This is an oscillating
bobbin machine with all metal gears. In fact, the gears that run the hook
are encased in a grease-filled housing to ensure constant lubrication of the
gears. The bobbin case is included as well as the accessories shown. The
motor works and comes with the original plug and receptacle. The foot
control and wires have been replaced at some point and are quite functional.
This machine has been
cleaned and oiled and had a test stitching done to assure that things work
as they should.
